The National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA) and the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in October 2024 to collaborate in the areas of capacity building, research, and advocacy relating to accounting, auditing, and corporate governance. Under the MoU, NFRA and IICA will jointly design and deliver structured training and awareness programmes for accounting and auditing professionals and audit committee members, drawing upon NFRA’s regulatory experience and IICA’s academic and training capabilities. The collaboration also provides for joint advocacy initiatives with the objective of enhancing audit quality, professional competence, and governance standards in furtherance of NFRA’s statutory mandate.
